A TRIED AND TRUE APPROACH TO CONCEPTUALIZATION
Dominarc’s team members are veterans of the conception process. We have developed streamlined methods for distilling a well-defined concept / preliminary design from your starting idea. A fully defined product concept completely outlines all aspects of your desired product and can be used to estimate design and building costs as well as the total lead time for development of your project. This is a necessary first step for persons that have not yet developed a visual representation and/or technical specification for their product idea. Fortunately, we are here to help! Please read on below.
This is the brainstorming section of the conception phase. All ideas will be presented for consideration. Our team will utilize our experience in product design to propose many new ideas that you may not have even considered. We will help to temper all ideas with what we know can realistically be accomplished. We will record the entire process with detailed notes to be included in your Ideation Journal.
At this point, all the options are on the table, but we still need to settle on which one make sense for your particular product design. We will present you with the pros and cons of each possible version and help you make choices that are likely to fit your budget and vision. All decisions and rationale will be recorded in your Consolidation Journal.
This is the time to put pencil to paper on the final concept. You could call this the preliminary design. We will generate quality hand-sketches, 3D CAD models, and/or photographic renderings as required. Regardless of the chosen media, you will receive image(s) that represent your product. The image(s) will contain annotations for all key features. Finally, we will write up a technical specification document that outlines all features, functions, and performance requirements.
